Interactive video is overlooked and underused. Good! This just means you’ll stand out more…far more…when you put one out.
With all the hype over virtual reality, interactive video seems to have been swept aside somehow, but at Smart Cuts we believe that it has as much, if not more, potential; a potential that is currently far under-appreciated.
VR is great. Don’t get us wrong. We love it, but for all its visual wow it isn’t nearly as well adapted at delivering information in a compelling manner as interactive video. Interactive video ads drive a 47 percent increase in viewing times when compared to linear video ads, and on top of that, they’re just more fun to watch. Want to see what we mean? Those links that appear in motion tracking. Click on them and the video pauses to deliver a pop-up with more information, or even a video within a video. Once you’re done, close the box and pick up where you left off. Imagine how useful this can be for explaining just about anything on video!
